Finance Manager Full Time

Due to the increasing growth, our client is looking for a Finance Manager to help manage the company’s financial health by providing financial information to the CEO while supporting our strategic planning. The role includes oversight of project budgets and also investments into new projects and broader financial strategies.

Your role will include:
・Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including invoicing, AP/AR, payments, monthly closing and other transactions.
・Preparing reports while dealing with external services for tax filing, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs.
・Quarterly board meeting and helping to report to foreign stakeholders.
・Manage the preparation of the company’s annual budget.
・Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
・Research and analyze financial reports and observe market trends.
・Providing insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
・Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
・Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
・Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
・Command in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Spreadsheet, etc.)

Skills

• Must have
  Bachelor’s degree or higher (accounting, finance, economics preferred)
  Level 2 Japanese Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification or experience
  Strong understanding of Japanese accounting standards, principles and regulations
  Interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills
  Analytical skills; Multitasking Ability
• Good to have
  Experience as a Finance Manager in an international environment
  Experience in FP&A practices
  Experience in accounting system implementation
  Broad understanding of general financial trends
  Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS is a plus
