JOB DESCRIPTION

With representations in multiple countries around the globe, our client is looking for a finance specialist to take on the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development of an upgraded IT infrastructure regarding finance and accounting functions in alignment with organizational directions and policies
• Lead the annual budgeting process, prepare a business plan and business review templates, support the yearly investment planning, cost calculations
• Continuous monitoring and monthly reporting of financial development to Management; initiate and follow-up of countermeasures if required; prepare financial status for board meetings and report to key partners in Europe to support the preparation of annual financial statements
• Develop and lead payroll processing, social insurance, income tax, local tax, yearend adjustment, and contact to relevant authorities, HR administration
• Responsible for all insurance matters
• Perform internal training of staff as required
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting and Business Administration or related majors
• Minimum of five years in J-GAAP accounting, budgeting & P/L experience, forecasting and control, and management reporting
• Good IT skills and understanding of financial processes, solid accounting software knowledge
• Experienced in international working environments
• Proven intercultural skills with experience in both Japanese and European companies
• Multilingual, native Japanese speaker, fluency in English, German is a plus
• Excellent analytical skills and numbers passionate
• Dynamic and proactive, with structured working style, target-oriented personality
• Good leadership skills including hands-on management
• Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills, good sense of empathy
