Title: HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is responsible for helping promote policies, procedures, and programs, and reports to both the Country Manager and a dotted line with APAC HR. This position carries out responsibilities in a variety of functional areas of HR such as Payroll ( vendor management ), Benefits, Employee Relations, Training, Human Capital Management Systems Performance Management, Recruiting, and Compensation.

The main functions you will cover are:

Managing HR in Japan including payroll vendor management, performance management, recruitment, and training. In addition, you will be required to work with overseas business partners.

Leading Projects and Initiatives including integration of new systems and handling of compliance and regulatory requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Health and Safety Administrator Qualification 衛生管理者 desired.
• Fire Prevention and Disaster Prevention Certificate 防火防災管理者 desired.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in Human Resources.
• Experience with administering HR programs including but not limited to:
  • Benefits Administration
  • Wellness
  • Onboarding
  • Employment
  • Talent Acquisition
• Business-level English.
• Experience working for a start-up is a plus.
• Ability to manage projects and track progress.
• Systems and Applications – Familiar with HR systems
• Ability to present information and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity to confidential and employee relations matters, and adapt to changing needs and situations.
