Our client is looking for an accountant to join their team. They provide comprehensive back-office support services, including office space management, finance, HR/payroll services, and various administrative support for their clients.

 

The responsibilities for this role include maintaining monthly bookkeeping and reporting in compliance with local regulations, managing cash flow, and preparing financial reports such as Balance Sheet (B/S), Profit & Loss (P/L), General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation according to client specifications. The role involves handling domestic and overseas payments for vendor invoices, salaries/bonuses, expense reimbursements, corporate taxes, and withholding taxes. Additionally, it requires preparing necessary declarations and reports for tax filings, including income tax, enterprise tax, inhabitant tax, and consumption tax, in collaboration with tax specialists. Daily communication with clients, employees in local subsidiaries, and financial departments at clients’ headquarters is essential. The position also includes providing advisory services to clients and addressing their queries with the support of tax specialists and certified social insurance labor consultants.

 

The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-oriented, and service-minded individual who excels at working independently and as part of a team in a non-hierarchical environment. They should have a strong focus on customer service and excellent communication skills to deliver high-quality service to clients. The ability to multi-task and manage multiple clients simultaneously, attention to detail, a structured approach to work, and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial. Extensive experience and skills in accounting, along with familiarity with local accounting software and ERP systems, are required. Knowledge or experience in HR matters (payroll, social insurances) is a plus. Fluency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) are also necessary.
